On arrival we weren't greeted by anyone, so had to go to the bar and tell the bar staff we had booked a table. Eventually, someone came over and pointed to a table, "you're on that one" - very welcoming!Service was disorganised, food order asked for before drinks, drinks took a long time considering they were far from busy, we had to ask for steak knives etc.The food arrived fairly quickly and was very nice, although expensive for a pub.After we had been there over an hour, one of the 'security' staff lumbered over and strongly insisted that one of our party remove their cap as it was company policy, blah, blah, blah.....Well done The Keys, another triumph in customer service, we won't be back.
Two very different experiences. Lunch time had some great food well presented. Follow up visit early evening walked out as three members of staff behind the bar talking for several mins ignoring our party stood at the bar waiting to be served
A lucky find while visiting Darlington. Lovely atmosphere. We had a few drinks and something to eat. Food was lovely with large portions. Would recommend.
Went for afternoon tea for a baby shower. Spacious, the food was absolutely delicious, the staff were friendly and price was so good! They even decorated with balloons and let us bring in our own cake and little decorations. Also offered gluten free afternoon tea for my gluten intolerant bud. Have recommended to other friends and family.
Had a lovely breakfast, great food,great service Best music in town. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff. Very good value for money nice place with a good ambience. Love my visits here. Always pretty busy which is always a good sign. Never had a bad meal here.
