Amazing company and exceptional customer service, this company could not be more helpful, spent a lot of time with me making sure i chose the correct fabric for my sofa which they made for me to suit my measurements and the quality is so much better than the high street shops ! This is a review on the customer service I received rather than their products...which unfortunately I have not been in a position to see.I rang metro as I was very interested in placing an order for sofas. On speaking to a woman on the phone I advised her it would be a 2 hour round trip for me to come to their workshop/ unit and enquired whether or not it was worth we making the journey or just sending across my dimensions and things via email.She assured me it was well worth coming along so I made the trip. On my arrival I was informed ( by the same woman I spoke to on the phone) they had never actually made sofas before( only reupholstered and made chairs) so there were no sofas or pictures of past work that I could look at.No time was spent with me reviewing choices or fabrics or anything at all.I was there for a total of 5 minutes while the woman photocopied my designs/dimensions and advised that they would be in touch with a quote. So my 2 hour journey was a complete waste of time when I could have supplied this info via email.Anyway I received one phone call from them with a question which I answered and 2 weeks on I am still without a quote!!I have visited 3-4 other sofa manufacturers who have been able to give me a quote on the spot! Hopefully other customers have a better experience.
I commissioned Metro Furniture to make 6 bespoke chairs, footstalls and cushions for home cinema. The service I received from start to finish was second to none. Rachael was always on the end of the phone and very reactive to emails. She supported me in choosing every element of the chairs from fabric samples, heights, fillings, to wood for the legs. The process from discussing design to final delivery was just over 3 weeks.Every element of my experience was easy and straight-forward, including the in-house delivery (3 hour drive!) and set-up from Lee and his two man team. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be using Metro Furniture again when I ever require furniture in the future.
