We went to see 'Santa at the station' it was amazing! The little one loved thrift and we really enjoyed the mini train ride as well as the museum itself, the craft activities were fantastic!
This museum is small however it's still an interesting place to visit with your kids or as a simple visit.Overall with our history of trains & there development we should have a historically made museum to be proud of for tourists to visit just as York etcAnyway been here afew times from being a kid to being a middle aged man & it's still interesting & staff are always happy to help
Somewhat limited museum in their range of locos however if you've got an hour or so to kill then consider this place. I believe this museum isn't far from the place where the newest steam locomotive "Tornado" was built.
Brilliant museum. Small but full of everything you want to see related to old trains. Took a train mad 3yo around it with no problems. They had an event day on with period entertainers and shows for the kids. A great stop off on a long journey
Amazing little place right near my house. When my nephew is a little older I'm going to bring him along so he can learn the history of our town too. Very interactive and a good few hours ;p
