Visit here from time to time. For a novice the selection is far too big to truly understand and take in. I enjoy a good 30 - 40 minutes of browsing. Soaking up the various labels, countries, names and grape varieties. I smile at the staff recommendations and picture them all early morning having a glass or two while the rest of us drink skinny lattes......seriously the staff offer to help, but you know that its a bit like choosing a book to read. Sometimes the title grabs your attention, sometimes the cover (or label) and then quite often you end up choosing a random selection and get great satisfaction when you thoroughly enjoy the chosen book or in this case the wine....(bottle by the way not case). The place can often feel disorganised with boxes everywhere and seemingly no merchandising methods, but it kind of works. A 6 bottle purchase to get the better prices is reasonable. Gone are the days of a 6 bottle minimum. Wine tasting evening are quite enlightening. On one such occasion I came across Chenin Blanc...never looked back. Staff very friendly, car parking a little limited but as yet not had a problem personally.
