Saved from closure. The only department store in Darlington and is slowly improving. Fearful the it will become a giant Sports Direct store as there are early signs of cheap sports apparel appearing in many places. Has potential to be so much better so for now it has my support and I wish it well.
Large and stylish department store situated in the centre of Darlington and housing a wide range of big name fashion brands. Glad Mr Ashley has stepped in to keep the store open, however his budget Sports Direct brands are slowly replacing the higher calibre products you would hope to find here.
I am so pleased this store has stayed open, Darlington wouldn't be the same without Binns! I visited the restaurant upstairs with my daughter for something to eat and drink after a tough days shop as I always find it nice here. We had toasties and a hot drink which was lovely as always but they must have been very busy as a lot of the tables were stacked up with dirty plates and cups with no sign of them being cleared any time soon. I'm sure that was just a blip though and it isn't like that all the time.
Plenty of room to have a good look around.. plenty of different departments...men's... lady's.. children... homewares...two cafes... perfume department... plenty for all ages....
I'm glad that this branch is remaining open and the store does have a new lease of life. It has a more diverse range now (understandable) which will hopefully increase the footfall. Pleased to see that premium brands can still be purchased.
