By the positive comments here i guess there must be two Halfords in Darlington.... my experience was the worst I have had as a customer any where in the UK , a country not globally known for uniformly high levels of service. I was treated rudely from my first contact with the mechanic before i could say one word, and then treated as an idiotic inconvenience by the reception staff.Good luck to local people who rate this place highly, if they treat clients with simillar distain I can only imagine how they treat the cars. I left without giving them my business, or any future business, or any recommendation to the North Eastern car club memberships I belong to. My recommendations to my friends fellow car enthusiasts will be clear.My guess is they may be willing change bulbs and oil if you are desperate.Don't make the mistake of thinking if you book your car in it will be done quickly tho. I was told 'company policy' is they have three hours from booking time to start work on your car. Woe betide you if you drive your car into the workshop on arrival. I was abused for doing so and told there are signs saying no entry....There are no such signs. Avoid.
